Rautahat

Rautahat is a natural district.Rautahat District, a part of Narayani Zone, is one of the seventy-five districts of Nepal, a landlocked country of South Asia. The district, with Gaur as its district headquarters, covers an area of 1,126 km² and has a population 2001 of 545,132.Tikuliya is a village development committee in Rautahat District in the Narayani Zone of south-eastern Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 3103 people living in 530 individual households.Malahi is a village development committee in Rautahat District in the Narayani Zone of south-eastern Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 1477 people living in 264 individual households.Matsari is a village development committee in Rautahat District in the Narayani Zone of south-eastern Nepal. The village takes its name from "MATSA" which means "Fish". At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 3157 people living in 564 individual households. It is one of the most famous village for Maithil Brahmins (e.g. Jha, Mishra) in Nepal. The literacy is higher than other villages of Nepal. The village is situated in the bank of Bagmati river. It lies around 8km north of the district head quarter Gaur. Most of the people of the village are employed in the "Government Service" of Nepal.Maryadpur is a village development committee in Rautahat District in the Narayani Zone of south-eastern Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 3474 people living in 638 individual households.Mahamadpur is a village development committee in Rautahat District in the Narayani Zone of south-eastern Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 4690 people living in 812 individual households.Lokaha is a village development committee in Rautahat District in the Narayani Zone of south-eastern Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 2792 people living in 500 individual households.
